Point Lobos, Big Sur, and elephant seals

Day three. Heres-we-go. Old West cinnamon rolls in Pismo Beach. Go there. Now if you can. Cream cheese drizzled over a honkin' cinnamon roll, Blake's with pecans, mine, just plain.
After we got hyped up on cinnamon roll sugar we headed out to Point Lobos.
Kinda spectacular.
 Pfeiffer Beach. Big Sur, California.
The sand here is purple! (though I couldn't get a great picture of it)
so, here we are trying to get a great photo, Johnsons on the beach, lookin' all cute, then.....
 tidal wave!!!!!! shoes soaked.

If you ever find yourself at the Fernwood Campground on highway one, using their laundry facility to dry your shoes, eat at the Fernwood Bar & Grill. They have stuff like, "nachos as big as your head."
Recommended.
Next, the waterfall hike.

Someone built a house here, and this was their view from their patio. Envy.
On the way to the hotel for the night, we spied from the road, these precious guys.
Elephant seals, just soaking up the evening sun. Those two out in the water are sparring, and it was the weirdest thing I've seen in a while. They pretty much just go back and forth hitting their necks against each other... I think we watched them do this for at least 15 to 20 minutes.

West coast sunset. California, could you be any prettier?

precious friends. we like you guys, kinda a lot!
and, I'll leave you with this little teaser.
 Day Four, up on deck.
